.Painting Workshop Over Breakfast.

"God is a creative God and we are created from his own image and likeness that's why we are also creative." These are the wonderful thoughts imparted to us by our amazing teacher and soul sister Jessica Silva, as she shares to us her wonderful connection to God and her ways of expressing herself through painting. I am very excited to experience this kind of art for the first time because my artistic side is leaning more into music and designing clothes. Mixing colors and achieving your preferred shade in mind was such a challenging task yet very fulfilling. I just discovered that painting is such a wonderful relaxing outlet where you just have to let go and let your heart guide your hand, as you stroke your paintbrush naturally according to the wishes of your soul.
With teacher Jessica (in my right)  & the rest of the beautiful girls who participated in the Basic1-Acrylic Painting 1 workshop.
The workshop was held inside their house at Marcelo Green Village last October 20, 2013, Sunday around 8:00 am.
Acrylic paints, paint brushes, water, tissues & some books for inspiration are provided for this workshop.
The workshop started with a prayer then followed with a short lecture about art, mixing colors & different mediums that can be used in Painting.
Yummy healthy foods for breakfast are served to all the participants.
After our lecture, we all proceeded to their well lighted veranda to apply what we've learned. The workshop's theme is all about Beauty & Creation.
Like make up, paintings have primers too. We need to apply primer to our acrylic paper before we start to paint.
After applying the Gesso primer, we're now ready to do the mixing of colors for our preferred background. Mine is sea- green. So I need blue, yellow & small amount of black & white.
Here's teacher Jess, teaching us how to mix colors using acrylic paint.
My husband finished his masterpiece so early so he was able to document our busy faces doing our own crafts.
Anne enjoying her poppy flowers painting.
Happy Monica and her minimalist flower art.
Here's mine trying to make a hibiscus flower in a sea green background.
I have zero knowledge about painting but I really enjoyed my experience as a first timer.
On the right photo are the masterpieces of my husband. The lower painting is his gift for me.
This painting workshop was such an amazing experience for both of us. So proud of our very first acrylic painting! :)
Our friends Meg & Rio with their lovely masterpieces.
With our teacher Jessica and her piece of art.
Having breakfast & painting all together with these first timers are so much fun! Below are the beautiful masterpieces of our newly discovered artists.

She's actually opting Tagaytay for our next venue and we're going to paint on a real canvas next time!!! :) Hoping to encourage more participants in our next batch! :)
